Donation Payment Statement Descriptors

Starting today (April 15, 2025), individuals who make a trip donation will see GROUP* Trip Donation as the statement descriptor on their credit card, debit card, or bank statements. Previously, donations would show to donors as a standard trip payment would (e.g. GROUP* your custom statement descriptor). All other transactions in the system other than trip donations will continue to show with this payment descriptor.

This change is part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the number of donation disputes. We believe including the word "donation" in the descriptor will help donors better recognize the charge and reduce the likelihood of a dispute.
