Improvements to the announcements list on the Manage Trip screen

There are times where there will be a scheduled announcement that is not relevant to any account holders. For instance, an announcement might be set to go out to all overdue accounts, but all accounts are up to date.

We used to indicate this by showing a “0 of 0 Delivered” status. We heard feedback that some folks thought this meant the message failed to send.

To clear things up, the status will now say “0 Applicable Recipients.” We also added a note to the “Sent Announcement” screen in this scenario, which reads “0 recipients met the criteria to receive this announcement.”

Questionnaire answers are now visible (but still not editable) after editing date passes

We heard that, even if they can’t change their responses, passengers still want to see how they answered questionnaires after the editing date passes.

Now, if a passenger finds themselves wondering what they ordered for lunch or what size T-shirt they ordered, they can view their responses the same way they would go to view them if editing were still open. The ability to edit will be locked and a reminder will display at the top of the screen indicating that response editing is closed.

Editor's Note

Hey there, GroupCollect Register users! Welcome to the GroupCollect Register Change Log! I’ll be popping in here every other week to give you a quick rundown of changes we make to the system. Fans of Erik’s amazing monthly emails and GroupCollect: The Podcast, fear not! This will not be replacing these beloved missives, but rather, a companion resource to help rocket your GroupCollect Register know-how to the moon!

I’ll be settling into the biweekly cadence in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please enjoy this amuse bouche, which I hope will give you a sense of what to expect from this new feature! If you like what you see and want to never miss an entry, you can subscribe in less than 15 seconds here.

I hope you found this helpful, and maybe even just a bit fun. I’ll be back in a couple weeks with our next update. Until then…

Stay cool and collecting!
